My Christmas Post

So I was going to do a fun post about our fun night at the Clark's house. But everyone else did it and pretty much everyone that reads this blog is my family or knows my family. So instead ill just post something Christmas-y.

I LOVE wrapping presents and putting pretty bows on them :-) here are some of my "creations" And yes i made them myself they are not pre-made bows that i just stuck on there :-)

Also, here is a song that I absolutely love by Rascal Flatts.
"I'll Be Home For Christmas"

The Best Man I Have Ever Known

This is was my middle school Bible teacher. I still see him often and he always brings a smile to my face. And every year I get a special letter from him. Its about time the world got to know the man that touches 2,500 students hearts.

Thank You Mr. Stroup!

Take a few minutes and watch this video. I cried my eyes out.

Be very careful, then, how you live -- not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Craziness!

I never knew how much I took my thumb for granted till it was no longer functional. And the fact that I can do NOTHING with my left hand.

*Tip for all the cookers out there*
If you have never used a slicer, don't use one without some kind of protection or supervision.

I was making an apple pie for my neighbors when I sliced the top of my thumb. I have a bandage on it thats annoying and its sore. Did you ever stop to think about how important your thumb really is?

You need it to....

* TXT (its been hard)
*Dial a phone number
*Play piano
*Open the door with a key
*Turn the key in the ignition
* Turning on the tv/changing the channel
*Writing
*Lighting a match
*Putting on make-up
*Buttoning my pants (yeah, haha)
*Hitting the space bar on my computer

All things I have had trouble doing

Ahhhh such pain!

Now back to stalking people on facebook....

A Song To Sing

This is a song that Jennasen and I wrote, It only took us an hour and then we just recorded it with Garage Band (on a MacBook) Jen played guitar, then I sang and then she sang a little harmony. We put them all together and this is what happened! :-)

Something To Think About

I saw this surfing online. And before you read let me state that have not/will not ever be racist. But this was interesting to me

-Why is it that only whites can be racists?-

You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.

You call me "Cracker", "Honkey", "Whitey" and you think it's OK.

But when I call you, nigger, Kike, Towelhead, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink you call me a racist.

You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you, so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live

You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Yom Hashoah
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.

If we had WET(white entertainment television) we'd be racists.

If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists.

If we had white history month, we'd be racists.

If we had an organization for only whites to "advance" our lives, we'd be racists.

If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we'd be racists.

In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

I am white.
I am proud.

But, you call me a racist.

Boys Will Be Boys

I love my brother.... even when he has his "boy moments"

*Boys do not know much about flowers*

We were sitting at the dinner table the night after Michael and Natalie's wedding eating dinner, My Dad asks my Mom about the flowers on the table from Aunt Kathy. Cory asks, "Oh, are those the flower seeds from the wedding?" See guys don't realize that it takes time for flowers to bloom after you plant them, it doesn't happen overnight :-)

*Boys learn to cook........after they make mistakes*

I had just gotten out of the shower and walked downstairs to smell something like rubber burning and saw that Cory was doing something with the blender. I asked him what the smell was. "I was trying to make a shake but its not mixing in the blender." I figured out what the problem was "Cory, you probably didn't put enough milk in thats why its not mixing" I see Cory's face go white "Oh.....I forgot to put milk in"

Class of 2009!

Keep on learning, Cory,
Though your graduation's done;
Your whole life's an education
That has only just begun.

Your diploma is the first big step,
For knowledge is the special key
To winning what you want in life
And being who you want to be.

If you'll always be a student
You'll find the secrets to success
And travel on the golden road
To peace and happiness.

Congratulations Cory On Your High School Graduation!!

My Hero!

I got the best birthday present ever! I met my hero Marco Andretti! I have been a fan of his for a few years now and never thought I would get the chance to meet him, but I did! For those of you who do not know Marco is a driver for the IRL (Indy Racing League) I am such a fan of IRL and Nascar and watch it whenever its on. Yes, I actually make time out of my day to sit and watch cars drive around :-) It is so entertaining to me! He was at the Meijer store on 96th street while he is here getting ready for the Indy 500. So of course I jumped with joy when I found that out. Here I am with Marco!!

I did a little fun stuff to it :-)

My Autographed Picture of him

Happy Valentines Day

Do we really need a day to show someone that we love them?
I've always felt this way about Valentines day. We should show them that we love them everyday. We shouldn't need a holiday for that.
But I do understand that people love to celebrate on holidays so I will suck it up and wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day! I do love you all!
